This short-lived series combined characters loosely based on Kenneth Grahame's beloved Wind in the Willows and The Reluctant Dragon stories. Each of the two characters got his own segment in the show though they never actually interacted.

The Reluctant Dragon was named Tobias and lived in the medieval village of Willowmarsh. The dragon was kind-hearted and not vicious at all; in fact, he had a terrible allergy to daisies that caused him to sneeze violently and spray the surrounding countryside with fire. Other than the hapless villagers present for those epic sneezes, characters included King Herman, ruler of the land and occasional talk show host and Sir Giles, a bumbling knight charged with Tobias's safety.

The second segment followed the adventures of Mr. Toad, the carefree Wind in the Willows character. Toad enjoyed the stature of a wealthy English country squire but he wasn't too fond of ceremony and propriety. He usually larked about with his friends and neighbors, Water Rat, Mole and erudite Badger.

Tobias and Mr. Toad didn't prove to be a winning combination with audiences and the shows was cancelled before the end of the first season.
