The envy of young boys everywhere, Captain Caveman was a prehistoric superhero who could fly, defeat evil villains, and was unfrozen from a block of ice by three beautiful teenage girls. His multi-purpose club would open up to create anything necessary to win the day.

The team drove around in their van, solving mysteries and defeating bad guys everywhere they went. The “teen angels”, as they were known, consisted of Brenda, the smart one, Taffy, the scared one, and Dee Dee, the laid back one. Their sidekick, Cave Bird, would hang around to make sure the Captains club worked the way it should. On his way to a fight, the hairy Captain Caveman would bellow out his name at the top of his lungs – just so you would know he was coming.

Developed as part of Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics in 1977, Hanna-Barbera decided the Captain had a cartoon life of his own, and gave him and the Teen Angels their own show in 1980. It only ran for 16 episodes, but the Captain would return as a supporting character on The Flintstones Comedy Show and The Flintstone Kids, appearing with his son, Cavey Jr.
