Trivia:

Fraggle Rock holds the distinction of being the first-ever HBO original series.
Fraggle Rock, created by the pioneering puppeteer Jim Henson, was an elaborate, complicated show that managed to pull in a cult audience with its interesting characters and intriguing storyline. The foot-and-a-half tall Fraggles – Gobo, Mokey, Wembly, Boober, and Red - lived under the house of the human inventor Doc and his dog, Sprocket Living with them were also the Doozers, who were small green creatures who built complex structures that were eaten by the Fraggles. So, the Fraggles would eat and the Doozers would use the newfound space to build more structures. The Fraggles also needed to eat radishes, but they were more difficult to come by. You could only get them in the garden of Ma, Pa, and Junior Gorg, huge creatures who liked to beat up on the Fraggles. The Fraggles also had to go through the Gorg’s garden to get to Marjorie, the Trash Heap, who was a wise and all-knowing pile of banana peels, coffee grounds and other garbage.

Every week, Gobo the Fraggle went upstairs to the Doc’s workshop to pick up a new postcard from Uncle Travelling Matt. Matt traveled around the world, and the segments touting his adventures were individually tailored to each airing country. Henson believed that this country-specific storytelling would "show the world how to live in peace". Each Fraggle was featured in different episodes, and each lesson learned was done without condescension or preaching. The hit show ran for 96 episodes in five season, and retains its cult status as one of the most beloved shows of many a childhood.
