Release History:

Thanks to the overwhelming response to Eek! the Cat, and the subsequent, Eek! and the Terrible Thunderlizards, producer Savage Steve Holland decided to add another segment to the popular cartoon series, and rebrand it for the third time as Eek! Stravaganza.

The newest segment, Klutter, followed the quirky tradition of its predecessors, by offering another offbeat concept to the mix. This time around, viewers were introduced to the Heap family, and in particular, siblings Ryan and Wade, who discovered that living underneath a bed in their home was a creature formed from junk called Klutter. Desperate to finally have a family pet, the two tykes made every effort to hide the critter from their dad, knowing full well that he would made them get rid of it due to his chronic allergies.

Eek! remained the same ol’ helpful feline, always trying to help his friend Elmo the Elk, usually with disastrous results, and put up with his human family, forever tormented by young siblings, J.B. and Wendy Elizabeth. His other pal, Annibelle, as well as those ill-fated Squishy Bears kept the laughs coming for all of Eek’s faithful followers.

Also present were The Terrible Thunderlizards. This group of new-age Dinosaurs, consisting of Day Z, Doc, Tari, Kutter, and Bo “Diddly” Squat had recently been released from prison so that they could help serve the sinister General Galapagos in his quest to wipe out all humanity. This wasn’t as arduous a task as it appeared, since during this particular point in history (135 million years ago), “all of humanity” consisted of two incompetent cavemen, Scooter and Bill. Scooter was an inventor of sorts, and Bill, his test dummy. But despite their lack of intelligence, the dinosaurs still could never quite get them in their clutches.

Eek!Stravaganza got some serious scheduling support from Fox, who decided that the more Eek! the better. As a result, the popular series was shown both on Saturday mornings and every other day of the week. Young fans couldn’t get enough and Eek!'s third incarnation ran for another two years, providing some of the most quirky entertainment to ever come from an animated children’s series.
