I used to love George of the Jungle. It's just too bad that it's been ruined by the Cartoon Network with bad animation and even worse voice acting.

Barrel of Monkeys
My brother and I had these things when we were kids but they weren't in the barrel so we didn't have very much fun with them.

You Can't Do That On Television
I remember sitting in front of the TV and watching this show and laughing my head off. I was especially fond of Alidstar Gillis since I had such a big crush on him. Where he disappeared to? I don't know?

First Day of School
The first day of school was always so traummatizing for me. I think it was mostly because I didn't want to leave the safety and security of being with my parents because that was the only thing that I knew from the time I was born until I turned 4. I think I always hated the teachers that I was stuck with in JK and SK.
My JK teacher at the first school that I went to always got the kids so stressed. One day we had an indoor recess because it was raining outside and the school had a climber in the basement. Well I decided that I was going to be a smart aleck and slide down the slide head first and I did a few times before my shoelace came undone and got stuck in the slide. Well, the teacher's assistant that was there unhooked my shoelace and got me going again and that's when the teacher said to me: "Celeste that's why we slide down feet first." I was four! Was she expecting a four year old to be as well disciplined as her? I don't know.
Then my family moved to another part of the city and we had to transfer schools and starting SK there was no picnic either because the teacher there thought she was always right. My mother was working at the time and after she left me there I wouldn't stop crying and screaming so that was when the teacher gave up on what to do with me. I never wanted to socialize with the other kids because I was just starting at a new school and it was all pretty scary to me.
I swear that when I start having kids and they're ready for school I won't put them through that.

Drinking Fountains
I remember the drinking fountains at Jesse Ketchum Elementry School. If the water stayed in the pipes for any period of time they'd squirt the water right up in your face. Not that getting wet was a bad thing.

Emergency Drills
Some of the worst times I ever had in school were the emergency drills. Fire alarms at my schools were always so loud and I couldn't really handle it.

McDonald's
I like McDonald's for many reasons. Sometimes when if I feel like eating out my mother, grandfather, and I almost always go for McDonald's and I almost always go for the Big Mac.
They had a sandwich called the McDLT which came in one of those two sided styrofoam containers that keeps the buns from getting too soggy well they had this mother of inventions until some enviromentalists found that toxins from the styrofoam leech into the food. Leave it up to some environmentalists to spoil everyone's fun.
It's still a fun resturant to go to in spite of the environmental aspects of it.

Ms. Pac-Man
I think I wasted more money in the resturants and convinence stores in and around the Greater Toronto Area playing Ms Pac-Man than any other pay for play video game in the world.
I don't remember a time when I wasn't bugging my mom and dad for quarters to play Ms Pac-Man or any of the other Pac-Man games.

Michael Jackson
I remember that almost every kid at my school had a Michael Jackson jacket and I wanted one so badly but my mother could never afford to buy one for me.
My dad got me a little yellow t-shirt from one of the t-shirt stores in Kensington Market and I was so pleased. I got the occasional "Michael Jackson's not a Canadian" but that was okay because I didn't really care. I had a Michael Jackson t-shirt and that's all I really cared about.
