I'm a Pisces, which means I am all about escapism. That's why a lot of us are quick-change artists or talk to ourselves. There are a lot of druggies too, but I prefer to OD on nostalgia. Wasn't everything better before?

I am completely Disney-fied. My father used to be in film distribution and bring all the classics home on the projector to watch on a sheet hanging in the living room.
Once you've seen Smee shave a seagul instead of Captain Hook on 16mm Blu-Ray doesn't impress.

Anyway, that's not to say only Disney made me the fluff monger I am today. I still pretend I'm M's new Moneypenny to get through doing my taxes. I wiggle my nose like Samantha Stephens to see if the bus will arrive sooner. I still play Jaws in the pool and Auntie Mame in snooty department stores.

I pepper my conversation with quotes like, "It was...soap poisoning," from A Christmas Story, "Conthequethes, shmonthequenthes. Ath long ath I'm rich", a Daffy classic I don't really agree with, and the old "Chalice from the palace..." bit from The Court Jester. These are usually always out of context, mind you, but nobody's got an attention span these days so I tend to get away with it. (That, and the occasional lapse into an Inspector Clouseau accent.)

Silliness is totally underrated and people need to laugh more, and if they do because they're thinking of Humphrey the Bear as Donald's rug, then the world's a better place and Disney has done it's job. And that's why this place is so cool.
