BIO:
I loved growing up in the '70's and early '80's. I suppose I would've loved being a kid in any era. Grew up in a small Illinois town between Indianapolis, Chicago, and St Louis, but was a Tigers fan and loved Michigan vacations. Pretty much a total dork - loved baseball and baseball cards, exploring the woods and unknown neighborhoods around town, comic books (still do), hostess fruit pies, Saturday morning cartoons, swimming, my awesome Navarone Battle set, Star Wars toys, playing 'til dark in the summer time, running my annual lemonade stand, getting a paper route when I was 12, reading every book I could (can still remember how excited I was when the librarian in my grade school let me read the 5th grade-8th grade books a couple years early!), building airplane models, and so much more.
Now- School teacher in my civilian job, 17 yr. US Army & Army Reserve (officer) veteran w/ two OEF/OIF tours, formerly a wilderness guide and later a youth counselor. Living in Michigan, and lately feeling very nostalgiac. I have a great dog, a great cat, and a normally great, patient girlfriend : ) Somehow I've accumulated tons of stuff, while still regretting losing/selling/breaking even more. I still build a model now and then, even have some comics I read regularly. Lots of WW2 era interests, including hundreds of old radio shows if anyone wants to swap, give them a listen, etc. I got hurt on one of my last adventures, so have a lot of time to waste on the internet while I am recuperating :) If you want to write, swap great stories, etc, I'm your man.
